Initial Sketches
Aggressive Planting was pretty fun to make. After the entirety of the world invested in plants during the pandemic learned how hard taking care of plants are, I wanted to create a quirky visual tutorial on taking care of plants.
First Pass
Initial pass for the project, the shapes are still being figured out and the resolve is still being experimented with.
The resolve is still lack luster. At this point the addressing of what the project needs to feel interesting and satisfying is the biggest concern.
2nd Pass
Final Pass
The resolve is made more dynamic through movement and color. Making the plant take up more of the frame was the best solution.
Smears Saved Me
Using smears helped make hard hits feel that much harder and faster. It created opportunities to save time while keeping visual impact.
Other Things
Using contrasting shapes helped make quick transitions feel more meaningful and impactful.
